Kennewick National Cal Ripken Baseball League is a not-for-profit entity with the goal of educating children between the ages of 4 and 12 about the great game of baseball.  All of our board positions, concession stand operators, field maintenance, team managers, and team coaches are volunteers.  Our objective is to teach the fundamentals of baseball in a fun and enriching environment, while at the same time, enabling boys and girls to develop physical fitness, self-confidence, discipline, and good sportsmanship that will benefit them throughout their lives.  Last season, we had over 500 children participating in our various divisions.  There were over 400 games played over a three month period during the regular season last year.  In any given week, up to 40 games are being played on our fields with approximately 1,500 to 2,000 people in total attendance.

Because of the generosity of sponsors like yourself and the many hours of volunteers’ work, KN has been able to complete several modifications, which have made our facility cleaner and safer for our athletes and their families.  Last year we were able to upgrade the rookie and minor field’s playing surface as well as the audio broadcast system and we are excited to reap the rewards of that hard work next spring season. We also are in the process of resurfacing our parking lots for continued use.

This past summer, we had a lot of success during all-star post season baseball, including hosting teams from around Washington in the 10U State Tournament in July.  Several of our post season teams had a tremendous summer posting several tournament victories, bringing home some trophies, and most importantly making KN proud. KN also hosts at least two summer tournaments a year and this brings teams in from all over the Northwest. Your outfield signs are prominently displayed during those tournaments and we always encourage the fans to support the businesses that support us.
